De-Trash the Wabash

Spring 2019 De-Trash the Wabash is scheduled for April 27 from 9am to 1pm. Click here to register to volunteer!

De-Trash the Wabash happens every spring and fall. Local groups, university students, and volunteers work together to remove trash and debris from the banks of the Wabash River. In fall 2018, more than 170 volunteers removed two tons of tires, fencing, plastic, and other pollution from the river.

Volunteers are to meet at Tapawingo Park in West Lafayette before being dispersed to location along the Wabash River and Wabash River Heritage Trail. Remember to wear long pants, long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes and please dress appropriately for the weather.

To thank all of the wonderful volunteers, pizza is provided at the end of the event! Come join us and invite your friends!
